Hello. For the past couple of days, my vagina has been feeling sore. The feeling a woman gets when her jeans are too high on her hips, and she needs to pull them down to not be so high and irritating. This morning when I woke up, and went to urine, I felt a lot of discomfort. I hoped into the shower, and while bathing, I felt something circular on my right Labia Minora. I was freaked out, so I finished bathing, and went to look in the mirror. I found something that was about the size of an MnM, pimple like. It does not have pus, and it is redish colored. It is very uncomfortable, and it feel sore, and at time it itches. I am very concerned to know what this is. I've made an appointment to a GYN for Tuesday, but that is in 5 days, so I am looking for immediate advice or diagnostics. I have only had 1 sexual partner, and the last time we have sexual intercourse was about 3 months ago, and the very first time we have intercourse was about 1 year ago. Any help please? Thanks

@jult3,
mosquito or spider bite?

It's doubtful that it's an STD if you haven't had S in 3 months and it's just now bothering you.

@jult3,
Is there some reason not to see a doctor and get a professional diagnosis?

@jult3,
I am not a doctor, I am a nurse.
Your symptoms seem consistent with a Bartholin cyst.
If that is in fact what you have then...
That does require medical treatment.
Here is some information:
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/bartholin-cyst/DS00667

Bartholin cysts are very common and simply require prompt treatment.
They are not STDs.
Left untreated you may have some problems.
If you have medical insurance I recommend you visit your doctor, rather than an emergency room.
Let me know if you are unable to find a treatment resource, I could make some recommendations if you are uninsured.
I assume you live in the United States.

Take a deep breath... I think you are going to be fine. Very Happy
It is very much like a pimple (if this is what you have).
There may just be a blockage in one of the ducts that helps lubricate your labia.
The treatment is needed to release the blockage. Don't try to pop it!

@MattDavis,
I missed that you had an appointment with your gyno.
5 days should be fine, in terms of waiting to see him/her.
Warm baths should help, you might also try a warm moist compress (use a clean washcloth with warm water held against the area).
Dry thoroughly after either one. Don't use powders.
