Word is the White House is getting an little antsy. It looks like the Republicans are not going to cave on this sequester deal. If the GOP doesn't cave, and the American people see their lives go on pretty much as before, 0bama is going to truly look like Chicken Little. 0bama says these cuts will be “devastating.” Really? If the Republicans grow a set we’ll see just how honest 0bama has been with us.

On one hand you argue that the sequester will not tank the economy like Obama says but then you argue that the economy is in horrible shape and getting worse.

A couple writers say that Obama is responsible for sequestration. That is like saying that the parents of a kidnapped child are guilty of enriching the kidnapper who is holding their child. Obama's offer of sequestion was a ransom payment to the Tea Partiers for going along with the raising of the debt limit.
He is now fighting against sequestration, which everyone agrees is a bad idea. But the GOPers are bomb throwers, willing to hurt the country to get at Obama. They think they will be immune from criticism, and are in any event protected by the massive gerrymandering that went on.

Well, Obama can now blame Bush and the current Congress for everything wrong with his presidency & polices.
Obama will never be assigned blame for any of the harm he has and will cause this country and her allies.
I personally think the sequester is a good idea.
It will force the govt to actually spend less, and thats always a good thing.
Do I think it will work? I hope so.
I still think that taxes might have to go up some, but lets see what happens with the forced spending cuts first.
Based on what I heard on the radio today, the DoD is looking at an 8% cut, and everybody else a 5% cut.
If those numbers are correct, that means that every dept and agancy in the govt will simply have to trim some fat.
Some of you act like you think the world is going to end, or that life as we know it will cease to exist if the sequester goes thru.
Thats simply ridiculous.
Yes, there will be some adjustments made, and yes there will be some short term pain, but it wont be forever and it wont be fatal to the US or its citizens.
I think a growing number of Americans that believed the marketing of Obama
are now seeing how they were hoodwinked... they are upset and embarrassed.
Obama is not qualified for the job he is currently failing at, he never was.

The trouble is that austerity economics doesn't work. FDR tried that 1938, and it made the depression even worse. The govt. needs to spend (stimulate) to get the economy humming. That is what will produce jobs. Laying off hundreds of thousands may just push us into another great recession, or worse.
Wait for the 2014 elections. That is to say lets see if the idiot U. S. voters wake up to the fact that the rich conservative congress is raping the middle class and the poor so the very rich can get even richer.
