Okay, how many were drowned vs how many were killed by a gun?

Numbers, please!
In that instance, I believe that approximately 5 were drowned.
Sadly, thay cud not and did not kill Andrea with a gun,
because there were no guns at hand, so the children perished.
(Candor moves me to admit that SOME of the victims of these murders
were so young as not to be able to use guns anyway.)

No one was killed with a gun.

@OmSigDAVID,
You are obtuse in your response. It's a very simple question; drowning by a family member vs killing or maimed by guns in the family.

@cicerone imposter,
I answered that already.

I sense that u want me to tell u annual, nationwide statistics,
tho u did not say so. I don't have that information.

I have never been a very good researcher,
nor have I ever held myself out to be such.

#It may be an inconvenient truth in a state where so many people value their rights to own a firearm, but easy access to guns make women and children much less safer—in their own homes. The American Journal of Public Health warned that access to firearms increases the likelihood of intimate-partner homicide more than five times compared to situations where there are no guns.

When my girlfriends were living with me,
I did not elect to throw my guns in the garbage.

We made out OK.

A Florida woman accidentally shot her friend in the leg while waiting in line at a Starbucks on Saturday.

Police say Pamela Beck and Amie Peterson were getting coffee at the Tyrone Square Mall in St. Petersburg when Beck moved to set her bags down in order to pay for her drink.

Her purse "hit the ground hard," St. Petersburg Police spokesman Mike Puetz told The Huffington Post, and a fully loaded .25 caliber semi-automatic handgun that was in the bottom of the handbag fired, striking Peterson above the knee.

@parados,
What these bone-head parents who love their guns more than their children is that they don't understand the effect of killing your own sibling with a gun. Something they must live with for the rest of their lives - unless they themselves commit suicide.

Was I a hypocrit by my accepting a comfortable job in a high crime area ?

If you live in an environment where the benefits of having a gun outweigh the inherent risks of having a gun, then it makes perfect sense to have a gun.

But the point is that there are variables involved (the Benefit of a gun vs. the Risk of a gun) so you can't make a blanket argument in which it's always beneficial for everyone to always have a gun (which is what you tend to do in your arguments).

AURORA - Aurora Police are investigating an accidental shooting that occurred in the parking lot of Rangeview High School Monday afternoon.

Police say an employee of the school accidently shot a Rangeview student in the leg. The employee is not a teacher at the school.

It happened close to an hour after school had been dismissed for the day. Police say the two individuals know one another.

But don't worry, fewer students will be shot if we armed teachers. I'm sure an armed teacher would have prevented this.

A 55-year-old Santa Fe woman has been charged after she allegedly waited hours before taking her wounded teenage son to a hospital after a shooting, spending time on the Internet searching for information about the boy's wound, authorities said.

Deborah Tagle is charged with one count of injury to a child with intent to commit bodily injury, according to the Santa Fe Police Department.

The charge came after Tagle's 14-year-old son was struck by gunfire about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the family's home in the 10440 block of 27th Street.

Santa Fe police said the teen's friend, 24-year-old Pete Jesse Rodriguez, was "playing" with the pistol and pointed it directly at the teen.

David, I think you need to complain to WebMD since they don't have enough info on treating gunshots.

Woman okay after struck by bullet in SE ABQ
She was on her way to Mother's Day mass

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Police say a 74-year-old woman was on her way to Mother's Day mass when she was struck in the head by a bullet.

The woman is expected to be okay.

Witnesses say it appears it was a freak accident.

She was standing on the footsteps of the church, chatting with people when the bullet landed on her head.

Witnesses say Merced Estrada felt the bullet hit her head, but no one nearby heard a shot fired. Her husband picked up a bullet that landed right next to her.

Estrada was taken to the hospital where police say she is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say their preliminary investigation shows someone may have fired a gun in a nearby neighborhood and that the bullet came down right where the woman was standing.
