Former Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle, known as the deadliest American sharpshooter, was one of two men shot and killed Saturday on a gun range in Texas Saturday. Kyle wrote about his experiences shooting insurgents in the best-selling book American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History. Chad Littlefield was also killed. Eddie Routh, a 25-year-old former Marine who reportedly suffers from post-traumatic stress syndrome, was arrested after a brief chase, reports the Dallas Morning News. The motive for the shootings is unclear but Routh is also “an expert marksman” and shot the two victims at point-blank range, according to law enforcement sources cited by WFAA, a local ABC affiliate.
The rest of the story...

If only there had been some way he could have protected himself.

@joefromchicago,
I read this yesterday in the news. Sad Kyle was involved with trying to help a young marine with his PTSD by reintroducing him to something he attuned himself to 'in country' when he snapped and killed Kyle and Kyle's best friend.

Just goes to show--that guns can be dangerous even when being used for the best intentionsand in controlled situations.

Not that guns are unique in that respect--cars are under than umbrella too.

@joefromchicago,
It must have been at one of those gun free gun ranges because no one would ever risk a place that actually had guns.

@parados,
Once Obama takes over all gun ranges will be gun-free, and people will be reduced to throwing custard pies at targets. WON'T SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!

@joefromchicago,
Navy SEALs can kill with their pinkie. We KNOW Obama needs to ban pinky fingers! Pinky Control Now!

Bad taste, but smart-ass which is probably the governor you've set for your posts.
