@firefly,
That looks good this morning, firefly. Do you remember what food blog it's from?

@ossobuco,
That cake does look good, osso, and it's a fairly easy recipe. I might make it also--if the weather stays cool enough, long enough, for me to be able to turn on my oven.

@firefly,
One can rarely go wrong with blueberries.

Now I'll need more blueberry tea...

@Sturgis,
I don't suppose there's such a thing as blackberry cobbler in the house, is there? If so, I'd quite fancy a dish of it with two scoops of vanilla ice cream.

Or any sort of cobbler will do; cherry, peach, rhubarb or whatever.

@Debacle,
Speaking of cobblers, I was minded of the Jewish shoemaker who had set up shop in a small Irish town. Hoping to find favour with the locals, and thereby increase custom, he put a sign in his shop window: "Cobblers to the Pope."

The next day Murphy the butcher across the street had up a sign advertising "Sheep's Bollocks to the Rabbi."

@Debacle,
I'm afraid you arrived late. There was a fruit cobbler contest earlier and the leftovers were sent to Covenant House along with 30 gallons of vanilla ice cream.

Oh wait, we still have this loganberry cobbler if you're up to it.

That's a new one on me, but I see they're a crossbreed.

@Lustig Andrei,
Oregon, or very northern California, where I was -

Well, they sold the jam at Wildberries in Arcata, which sold great quantities of local products from soap to jam to beers.

A fav grocery store, and trust me, I'm picky.

@Debacle,
It's a double-crossbreed, according to your link, D.

@Lustig Andrei,
Whatever. Their jam aisle was the longest I've seen in years, and certainly more lengthy than here in foodlame.

@ossobuco,
I suppose I was being coy - that market was a private place, not one of the major us purveyors.

Went to Craft Dogs for lunch with George and Morgan. I am feeling positively overupholstered. Is there any lemon+green tea around here?

Wassau!

@Lustig Andrei,
Hmmm .... I've had experience with that sort of breed on several occasions, Andy. None too enjoyable, that I can recall.
