@Lola,
I think Sendi is very easy to please. However getting him to admit it is hard.

I'll have a coffee. How are you doing Lola ? I admire you: always resiliant, curious and interested.

@aspvenom,
He's a pint guy misogyne, such a delight.
I almost forgive him since I think it's put on. But I only think that 53/47.

A day's no good for that aspie. It's aggravating. Months is too little. Eternity will do.

@georgeob1,
well, hi georgeob, nice of you to stop by.

I'm not sure about Spendi. He seems to be the type that says what he thinks, regardless. But you don't have to worry about what he really thinks.

I'm going to blush now, you're giving me compliments. But I will say that it's easier to be resilient in writing than it is in person. I'm fine enough. How are you?

coffee coming up.

Tad, didn't you hear me? Bring georgeob some coffee, please. (That kid has his face buried in his iPhone all day long.)

@Lola,
It's easier for us all to be cheerful and charming remotely. However, many fail to do even that.

I like Spendi, and often enjoy his posts, but note that he is a bit unhinged by approval or favorable reactions to what he writes, and can be relied on to oppose just about any proposition or idea offered him. That appears to be a defense mechanism to me, but I nusually enjoy his stuff nevertheless.

Thanks for the coffee Tad, I'll have another. After that I'm off to dinner with #1 daughter and granddaughter.

Do you allow itinerant musicians to try their luck with the early morning coffee drinkers, maybe for a few quarters or a cup of coffee?

Yesterday I was trying out some reels and strathspeys on my double bass, which sounded a bit different but quite nice. Songs from my youth- The Glasgow Highlanders and Kate Dalrymple. I also played It Ain't Necessarily So and Stranger in Paradise. That would make a contrast to musak on the WP3, anyway.

I promise to go away again if asked nicely.

Do all things come in threes? Last night http://prairiehome.publicradio.org/netcast/ Prairie Home Companion closed the night with The Parting Glass and I told my honey that I sang that song to close Thee Coffe House in San Angelo every night. I loved hearing it again.
Now I am in wait for the next iteration.

but first, some coffee (Did you see what we did there with Thee and Coffe ? Believe it or not, it was a church sponsored meeting place for GIs and their friends among the locals. Lots of us are still in touch.)

@Frank Apisa,
I actually do in real life, ask Ci or Thomas.

I know some people over at CBS and Ive been told that the Grant thing will be mostly about his memoris with Mark Twain and his death by throat cancer.

I hope it goes a little more than that. The old boy was pretty much sure that he was a total ****-up so he wasnt too full of himself.

@farmerman,
I prefer this version fm.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JT2WxkPNERM

It has more hair on its balls.

"But if the arrow is straight and the point is slick
It can pierce through dust no matter how thick."

That's the real scientific method.

@spendius,
youre just jealous and resentful that you dont look half as good as I.
As Lord Ellpus used to say
"spendi's dwarfish, quite an ugly little brute with a big bulbous nose. Too many seasons in the cloister"

Seems he ws your nemesis and biographer eh?

We saw Ellpus off easy fm. He couldn't even take the trouble to conjure a more original description.

@farmerman,
It's nice but a bit long (and I'm not sure I need the martial beats in the middle.)

Here the boyos I learned it from

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCtU737bsJY

Tommy sings it in half the time with twice the Irish angst. Mr. Green
