@BillW,
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/7/7e/Joseph_Karl_Stieler-Lola_Montez1847.jpg/220px-Joseph_Karl_Stieler-Lola_Montez1847.jpg

Eliza Rosanna Gilbert, Countess of Landsfeld (17 February 1821 – 17 January 1861), better known by the stage name Lola Montez, was an Irish dancer and actress who became famous as a "Spanish dancer", courtesan and mistress of King Ludwig I of Bavaria, who made her Countess of Landsfeld. She used her influence to institute liberal reforms. At the start of the Revolutions of 1848 in the German states, she was forced to flee. She proceeded to the United States via Switzerland, France and London, returning to her work as an entertainer and lecturer. For a time she visited Australia. (wiki = source)

@FOUND SOUL,

Ok, how did you do that. Pinch that photo and re-post it, teach a 50 year old

Right click it, copy image location, then go to the place you want to post it, press Img [img][/img], then right click again in the centre of the brackets, and press paste. I think that's more or less how I do it. Only found out myself earlier this year, thanks to an A2K member telling me (in a much more straightforward way) how to do it!

I think you first have to upload the image to a hosting site, like Photobucket.com. There are several such free sites. And then copy and paste the URL as you said. At least that's how I do it.

Whatever Lola wants, eh? Yeah, you knew I was tryin' to put one over, didn't you? Quite useless when everybody and their grandma would recognize Ethel Merman.

A star, for sure, and in a number of roles apart from acting. Born on the 4th of July, she was bound to become a real dandy.

Her bio on Wikipedia is worth a read.

@Debacle,
Not if it's an image on the internet you don't - you can do what Vonny said with google images and many other images, say from newspaper sites. I do this a bunch on the beautiful animals threads, for example, using photographs they show in the Guardian in their Week in Nature (whatever that phrase is) photo slide shows. I'm a stickler for giving credit, but mostly you can tell where things came from by clicking and checking the url (different for pcs and macs).

You do the photobucket (etc) think if it's one of your own photos in your computer photo files.

If you have never had the chance to sit across a table from our Lola, you should realize that, even if you've won both the Nobel Peace Prize and the Congressional Medal of Honor, your life is ashes.

Note: I never said that I had won BOTH of them.

Oh god, her eyes.

Great scot, you mean I'm a picture thief! Nicking Gina's picture and she a photo-journalist and all. Well, that's that! No more pictures from me, I've retired henceforth.

I've only got one photo on my PC. It's a close up of the side of my head taken after I was hit by a bat. Not a ball bat, a cave bat. I only put in on the computer so I could send it the workmen's comp people. I don't think anyone else would care to view it. Looks a bit like the Elephant Man.
