@Rockhead,
Maybe they are much too cheap Rockie. At $150 any Tom, Dick, or Harry can get one and look at the fine mess that has got us into.

It's an interesting idea to me. The comparison between the expression forms of personal communication when the medium, paper, was expensive: Jane Austen wrote some of her stuff on old envelopes and the Dead Sea Scrolls were written on the hairy side of pieces of leather sewn together with flaxen threads, and the expression forms we find on this very inexpensive carrier of our thoughts. For many of us it is free.

And look what Rembrandt communicated when the medium was out of reach of all but a few. Notice how movies deteriorated when video replaced expensive film.

No such thing as too old, ehBeth. Life is for living - not always behaving well! Laughing

@ehBeth,
Lady Bertram said somewhere in Mansfield Park--"I feel stupid today". So you're in good company.

Sara Dylan in Renaldo and Clara says--"I don't think" when the truck driver asks her what she thinks after offering her a lift.

@vonny,
I'll have a pint of John Smith's Extra Smooth (Silk in a Glass) vonny. I'm gagging after the hot day we've just had.

Cheers!!

@spendius,
It might be a scientific law that the more people who can afford to communicate there are the stupider and more confused we get.

The Bible has the theory in the Tower of Babel.

@spendius,
And Parkinson's Law was cited by one expert as the explanation for the PRISM business. That the data is being collected for no other reason than that it can be, he said.

@ehBeth,
Make that two, ehBeth. I'm ready for another cup of java.

And I'll have a bagel with lox and cream cheese, just to keep the cup of coffee company.

I'm pretty new to making coffee with choco - will a coffee mocha work til Wassau gets back from the market?

Been playing some Mexican music - it's made me fancy a margarita. Please may I have one Wassau? And perhaps a snack to go with it. Any suggestions?
