I'm not izzie, I'm firefly, Diane, but, given the dim lighting, and the fact you couldn't see me on the other side of the couch, the mix-up is very understandable.

Sometimes vanity has to yield to a bad back. I love the way high heels look, but I don't love being in pain. My compromise is to wear pants, so I can get away with wearing lower heels without feeling I look too dowdy.

I must say, you, and ehBeth, and osso, and Eva, and vonny, all look sensational. And the Ramos Gin Fizz is delicious! I'm so glad you remembered it. But, phew, is it potent. I better drink mine very slowly.

Last night at the press corps dinner, President Obama said he is thinking of changing his image, perhaps by following his wife's lead and getting bangs.



Definitely not a good look for him. But he's got a sense of humor.

Michelle Obama looked great last night--very glam--loved her dress and the heavy smokey eye make-up.


I think we should invite the First Lady to drop in here one day for a Ladies Lunch. I think she'd be a lively and fun guest, and delighted to meet all of us, but we'd have to figure out how she could drop in here incognito, otherwise this place would be mobbed.

Definitely no more gin this morning.

Well, the muted mustard colored well trimmed dress is a mess now, since I threw that fizz drink at Spendius in a fit of irritation and the wind gusted..

But as luck would have it the drink also hit both of his well clothed kneecaps, so he'll look funny until that all dries.

Egg white can be problematic.
I once took my car to the car wash after it was egged on halloween, and it ruined the paint job.. not the eggs but the hot car wash.

What did I do to deserve such attention?
