I tasted a rice cake once. It did not taste like chicken.

@edgarblythe,
Rice cakes were often used for packaging material or insulation.

@farmerman,
You're nuts. You tell me to stop dwelling on it and then you give the handle another crank.

Stop giving rice cakes such a bad rap. Laughing

Quaker makes flavored rice snacks, that are really mini rice cakes, in loads of savory and sweet flavors, and they're not that bad at all, particularly for a lo-cal snack. I bought some last week, out of curiosity, and because they were on sale. They used to call them Quakes, now they're calling them Popped.

ehBeth, have you tried these? They are crunchy, light, and the flavors aren't bad. I've been munching the chedder lately.

Given all the food I consume in this cafe, I need some lower fat, lower calorie munchies to have at home.

@firefly,
Rice cakes were invented for those with oral fixation issues to keep them from grinding their teeth to powder.

@firefly,
I've had them in my crumbly past. I find it's like eating air. I admit that to have sort of liked the cheddar ones...and the ones that have an apple-cinnamon taste.

Rice cakes were invented so that rice growers in East Texas would have a market.

@spendius,
The vast majority of Americans have ADD bad, Spendi. Discuss their war crimes/terrorism and it's "Hey, look there's a squirrel". You saw how frightened FireFly became and how quickly she folded

Farmer, the academic, went just about as fast.

Even Frank Apisa has taken a powder.

No, Set, their markets came from gunboat free trade orchestrated by the US government.

Plagarist. You don't get fine in the morning from being nuts anyway.

Churchill was pissed.

And you have not said what you meant by ADD yet despite three requests. And I would like to know from you.
