I've just spiffied up his garden shed and have built a new door for it that features a jelly bean aquarium.

The door has an aquarium in it? What, pray tell, is a jelly bean aquarium?

In my greenhouse?!! Hahahahaha.....
You obviously don't live in tomato country. We don't need no steenkin' greenhouses. Just throw the plants in any ol' patch of dirt, and don't forget to water 'em every day. By July, you won't even need to grow your own. Your neighbors will be leavin' a few on your front porch every night.

(You're right about eating them warm, right off the vine, with salt.)

The Canadian hamburger I'm wild about is White Spot. Amazing sauce! So good.

Hold the fries, but add some lox/smoked salmon, and thinly sliced onion, to the fresh cream cheese and tomato slices on one of those twisters, and throw some Kalamata olives on the side, and that's a breakfast I'd love to feast on on my birthday.

You guys are killing me............I'm trying to eat less. Food discussion, my mind is exploding with "get gooey sweet food, eat it............"

According to Bernie, George Bush thought Poutine was a Canadian politician. Very funny story. Maybe Bernie will tell it sometime.

Sarah was a generous and beguiling dame. Her interpretation of "shot" was more grand than most. I suggest you take her lead on this.

Wassau, would you get my friend Matt this lovely drink. And bring him a lemon curd donut along with it. Nice to see you here Matt.

Doing just that is my idea of food bliss, sheer perfection on a summer day. A warm, just picked, fully ripened tomato, with a little salt, is possibly my favorite food.
Last year, I didn't grow any tomatoes. I won't make that mistake again--I missed them too much. I grow mine in pots, and they do just fine, as long as I give them lots of water.

Sigh...summer seems so far off. I wonder if this café serves soup. A bowl of homemade tomato soup would hit the spot right now.

@Lola,
Thanks Lola, I didn't realize our bartender/barista was Wassau.
You are a lovely host. Very Happy
We may have to check the ingredients on said donut. It sounds delicious, but I may have to refrain. I did bring some extra treats which I made earlier for Nidal.
Nidal is my friend from Lebanon. He owns a local restaurant here. We clash over veganism, but bond over racism. He has his own nickname for me "White Boy".

Wassau is my great friend and proprietor of (virtual) Cafe 101. I live across the virtual street. But I am a very loyal patron of his cafe, as are all my friends. I've very happy to call you my friend, White Boy. Otherwise known as Matt.

@Eva,
YUCK, greenhouse grown tomatoes, thats sorta like "corinthian Leather",totally fake.
The best tomatoes need just a little bit of pain and suffering from just enough, but never too much, rain and ample heat.

A summer tomato rewards you with flavors so complex that youd need a spreadsheet to itemize em.

And right osso, a really great tomato needs no salt. But it must be slightly warm from the day's sun.
UK is at the same latitude as Labrador, so its understandeable why they need greenhouses to start the season. Yet they make up for it by their days length in summer.

@farmerman,
I've grown plenty of tomatoes outside with no problems at all, I don't have a greenhouse.
