"Nancy and I were born two weeks apart and raised three miles apart. We met as 11-year- olds at Palm Beach Public Junior High School and have been best friends since. We went to college at the University of North Carolina together and to graduate school at the University of Florida.
Nancy was was always Ms. Phi Beta Kappa. And I was Ms. I Tappa Kegga."

What are "Ms. Phi Beta Kappa" and "Ms. I Tappa Kegga", and what's their difference?

@Justin Xu,
Phi Beta Kappa is an honor society - it means that Nancy was always studious.

I Tappa Kegga is a play on words, meaning "I tap a keg" or "I drink a lot." It means that the author was not studious, but instead interested in parties.

@DrewDad,
Thank you very much DrewDad! It's really hard to understand this without the explanation from an English native. Thank you!
