Context:
Does "via the stereotype that soldiers who seek treatment are weak" mean "
under the influence of the conventional conception that soldiers who seek treatment are weak-minded"?

Context:

ABSTRACT

The stigma of mental health treatment in the military may operate via the stereotype that soldiers who seek treatment are weak. Perceptions of weakness derive from the belief that treatment violates military norms of group cohesion and individualistic coping. This vignette study examines the effects of group-centric motivation and a shared ingroup on weakness perceptions. Results show no effect of the experimental variables on perceived weakness. However results yield support for the hypothesis that contact with others who have sought treatment will reduce stigma. Also, officers stereotyped treatment seekers as weak more than did junior enlisted
personnel.

It means that the stigma (perception of disgrace) when soldiers seek mental health treatment may perpetuate because of the old viewpoint that soldiers who seek treatment are perceived as being weak.'

@oristarA,
More weak than their brothers, not weak in the mind.
It is a protection mechanism that the military keeps in force within its structure, more so than even the populous.

What I mean is, the facts are the facts, expected tolerance shifts throughout the ages for the individual and for the many, on different planes of discussion.
Always people have been pushed too far and always others have called them weak, it has never been entirely accurate to assume.

If the world had not adopted 'to know this'.. there would be a lot more of the kind of people and soldiers who do eventually properly crack, as they stated 'What?.. I follow the rules'.. On almost every irritation presented, even when falling over with psych issues.

@InfraBlue,
Do you mean to infer their brain stems are inadequate?
Perhaps screening them before combat is your intent, of silent agenda?.

Do you think your attitude cures the problem?
Or does the nature of psychological damage apply also to your master race who will be expected to 'follow all rules always'?.

Those of us with psych issues are curious as to which side we should choose sometimes, so if you would be so kind, please place your agenda here, that we can gain some footing, with our stronger or weaker minds. Smile

You're not just annoying, stupid and mischievous, but quite nutty as well. This was, of course already obvious. Please get tired of this forum and find another one soon!

@contrex,
So your point is, if it is obvious, never mention it, instead just place a yes or a no everywhere and damn the rest?

Who is annoying and stupid now?.

Perhaps buy some Valium to ease your irritation and then we will gradually cease calling you nutty..

AFTER SOME EXPLANATION!

Your pleas that people should leave function on 99% of us, so please sit back and fail to remember I exist.

You keep diving into English-language-explanation threads, pouncing on the answers and delivering loony rants about some weird agenda that you evidently have. You both miss the point and hijack the threads. You are crazy as batshit and incoherent like you are on meds. Butt out, mad boy.

Thank you guys.

BTW, do you think "individualistic coping" is natural English and is easy to understand?

@oristarA,
Not for those locked in a box for having a penis, who are removed from having subject matter anything to do with the nature of individuality and the corresponding phases of polar opposing values in man .. No.

Things get harder to learn as we get older if the 'base' expectation is a root fundamentalism.

This is particularly an issue for those assigned by birth to be a product of potential Satanic interest. In a world which believes that increases potential for problems.. also in a world which believes it does not, such is life, is that easy to understand?.

Please excuse my lack of courtesy with regards equality pertaining to proper nicety.. it simply sits badly in ignored discussion.
