Antarctic is good, Gus. A much closer destination that those usual get togethers in the northern hemisphere! ( I just knew that eventually there'd be one I could afford! Very Happy

Yes, SCoates, it's really Olga. I'd love to say I walked, but no, my family arrived by sea. You must have explained what you were doing in Russia somewhere on A2K, but I missed it ..... I'm curious. (I'm Ukrainian, myself.)

Oh, just roam'n around. I was trying to find a taco stand, and I thought I was headed south. Anyway, once I was there I made the best of it. Ironically, I ran into some mexicans who were trying to jump the border into america, and crossed the wrong border by mistake. We joke about our similar situations, and eventually even shared an apartment in Pushkin (lovely in the spring). Do you speak russian?

No fears, Ceili, I know a guy who knows a guy in the NY Giants organization who is gonna set me up with one of those huge jet engine-sized heaters they use on the sidelines during cold weather. That's why I need to get there early. It takes time to set all this stuff up!

Bloody long walk from the Bering Strait to Australia - evenMsOlga, who walks km's a day would find it a struggle. Bering Strait is a tad closer to the Arctic than the Antarctic.
