$700,000 worth of gold dust missing from Pfizer lab near St. Louis.

Maybe Viagra doesn't put lead in the ole pencil or perhaps Pfizer has perfected changing gold into lead.

It's unclear what the gold was for. What do you think?

@parados,
Offhand I think that is/are some pharma need for gold for use on inflammatory issues and sufferers of rheum. arthritis. The pharm use help reduce inflammation with application of gold salts. Pfizer is a world leader in pharma R&D .

DNA-plasmid-based vaccines are a promising class of next generation therapeutics. Particle-mediated epidermal delivery is an attractive method for the administration of DNA plasmid vaccines. This technology utilizes minute quantities of DNA plasmid which have been deposited onto the surface of 2–3-μm gold particles, and so the development of this technology requires the use of analytical methods that can accurately quantitate the amount of the DNA on the particle. Spectroscopic methods are generally insufficient for this task due to interference from the gold particle. ICP-MS circumvents this issue while allowing for the sensitive, reproducible, and accurate determination of the quantity of DNA on the particle surface. This report will detail the development and application of such a method.

Excellent rejoinder, parados.

In the meantime, Ragman, I had forgotten about the use of gold in rheumatoid arthritis situations... and have no idea if it is used currently.

@parados,
Real colloidal silver does not turn you blue if you don't abuse it. Millions of people take it daily, including myself and some friends. I have used it daily for many years and in fact a few times drank whole bottles of it within a few days in special circumstances. When I first got into a discussion/argument about this on my computer, the others searched in vain for pictures and stories of real cases of blue people. Lately they are showing up because there is a demand for blue people. I don't believe any or most of them used the real stuff. But this will be my only post on the topic, because it could derail the thread and because it is like arguing religion. People with no experience at all will want to pile on anyway. My two cents. 2 Cents

@Lustig Andrei,
At least one of their fans lives in Albuquerque now. (No, not me..). Met one while I was at the Water Authority office some months ago... the tee shirt gave her away.
