I don't think the first sentence is coherent, so made some changes. Is it better? Do you have any other advice? Thank you!
1) I know that (refer to a book) is very important for you, because the book was sent by your parents on your eightteen birthday.
2) I know that is very important for you because it was your eighteenth birthday present sent by your parents.
