Thanks Roger, good to see you too! As I suspected, when I gave up the boozing, my penchant for thoughtfulness waned for some time. Plus I needed something to do with myself, so I jumped big time in to a car project, and have been haunting a bmw forum pretty extensively. Just bought a reliable car a couple days ago though, and am going to sell the beast of burden Sad

The little dag is acting as if she has no pain. I've had my share of procedures, this is a remarkable turnaround after a surgery... it's gonna be a long couple weeks, but we did get her one of those inflatable E(lizabethan) collars. Based on the reviews, it's a crap shoot, but after last night and this morning she's been far less bothered by it

Out mowing the front lawn I noticed a bit of blue spray paint on the grass, and a corresponding line down where the sidewalk ends. The great internet has revealed that blue represents drinkable water lines, and that someone is planning something. The bits of paint and the intentionally lacking information beyond them tells me that whatever it is, I may not like it, and I'll certainly not have say in the matter.

Blue, huh. I don't know about that. I've all sorts of stuff running into my house, mostly yellow and red.

That wording, assassini, came from a somewhat uptight student in one of my zillion italian classes, which were not quite useless and a lot of fun. This was early nineties. I wonder what happened to him..

As the days went on, more paint in all the colors ('lectric, teevee and the like) appeared throughout the neighborhood. They are now busting up the sidewalks for whoever knows what reason. I suppose I could axke somebody, but, eh..

Apparently we're having a big sewer reconstruction project - it ends one house north of us. Well, the work does. The annoyance will spread south.
