With many Jews, liberalism took the place of their grandparents orthodoxy. Voting Democratic became the new religion in some/many cases. Plus, the Republicans still have remnants of the old WASP clubbish anti-Semitism, in the minds of some/many Jews. Be that as it may, the Orthodox Jews tend to vote Republican. They might be quite visible when walking around; however, most Jews in the US are secular, their families having been here since their grandparents, or great grandparents came here in the 19th century. This is my opinion, based on my observations. Someone else could have a different opinion.
