Romney, not his wife, must convince people to vote for him.

True.

But part of the reason in having her speak was to show her husband as a "real guy", with human dimensions, who can connect to ordinary people, and, quite possibly, to make women voters more comfortable with him and his understanding of women's issues. And she really didn't succeed on either score.

Maybe her speech was too hyped in advance and I expected too much, but they could have, and should have, come up with a better speech for her. It was a blown opportunity.

Chris Christie, like Santorum, barely mentioned Romney in his speech. These people seem more interested in talking about themselves than about Romney. What gives?

google, Finn, google. Andrew Sullivan, the Daily Beast. That's part of why the fact-check organizations give it four pinocchios and pants-on-fire ratings.

@Finn dAbuzz,

What I can't understand is how intellectually honest people who voted for Obama based on promise can maintain support for him despite how he has not only broken his promises but rendered them the claims of a flim flam man.

The thing which is hard to grasp for me is how anybody with even a dog/cat level of intelligence can look at the manner in which Bork Obunga deals with his own family and blood kin back in Kenya, and then think that there might be any reason why he (Bork) would give a rat's ass for THEM....

stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid........

I think the fact check on Christie's truth speech will be interesting. It will kind of put the lie to the truth suggestion.

I think the Republicans are doing a very bad job where it counts. They are supposed to be making the argument for a Romney administration.

After listening to these speeches I am supposed to be convinced that Romney will be a good president because of __________???

There is no unified message coming from this convention yet.

@MontereyJack,
Oh yes, Andrew Sullivan, the fellow who was so obsessed with Sarah Palin's son Trey being actually her grandson. Now there's someone we can rely on as a truth-teller.

Somehow I doubt your hearing is atuned to such a message, but keep listening.

Nothing new. Nor will there be any explanations of their programs. Just trust me from them.
