@Ticomaya,
What's abnormal about pretending? The bare, forked beast of prey with a prehensile grip is a bit much for most people.

Your avatar proves that. And the idea in your profile that the country is growing up is ridiculous. We seem to be slithering back into short pants to me.

NFL is a business enterprise in case you don't know. It's about extracting money from the public. And it ain't about anything else.

I'm all for dancing girls. I have lost count of the number of times a flying tackle taking the receiver into the out-of-bounds a yard short of the endzone has been re-run in slow-mo and I'm gawping at the Cheer Leader in the background whose little wrists are twirling the tinsel ticklers reflexively. There was one on Sunday whose very short shorts were pulled up as tight as tight gets without causing a grimace. It was obvious she was not wearing a protector.

Why are there no buxom matrons in the Cheer Leaders? The buxom matrons I have come across can twirl tinsel ticklers better than any of those clean-cut American virgins.

We are not very edifying creatures when we cease pretending.

Nothing, nor did I say there was.

I took a blimp of it in the hope of establishing your credentials for not pretending. Is it not intended to be read?

JPLosman won Week #6. His 8-6 performance was the least worst of the lot of us, where we combined for an awesome record of bad picking: 35% of our choices turned out be be correct. The best ESPN expert was also 8-6.
Jespah and McGentrix finished at 7-7, while Osso, Tico and AndyD followed at 6-8 (along with CoinToss).
At 5-9 were Coastalrat, Edgar, Ragman, Rhys and George.
Cowdoc, JPB, Wandeljw and Johnboy went 4-10, just ahead of Mysteryman, Liontamerx, Miz Cowdoc and Ehbeth and the worst ESPN guy at 3-11.
Region? Oh, yes, Region. Region went 2-12. Region went 2-12.

@realjohnboy,
I have myself at 6-8. Could that one-game disparity be where I had changed my pick to Denver on last Thursday?

@Ragman,
Ragman- You are correct. I saw but neglected to record your switch to Denver.
Thanks for the correction. The standings - which I will post shortly - will reflect your going 6-8.

@Ticomaya,

That's not easy to do.

It's easier than not beating the spread in 14 games. That might be thought well nigh impossible. It's like calling a coin incorrectly 14 times in a row. And coming the week end after it was announced that I was placed on Ignore it might be taken as a sign by experts in the occult that a mysterious force is at work in the ether.
