So who won it all? If I remember correctly it was Cowdoc in the lead?

Did he hold on?

He won over Osso by One? Wow...

Its amazing how like 270+ picks come down to just one...

@Region Philbis,
Yay, it worked! I can occasionally see a youtube video but most of the time not. If I haven't tried in a few days, usually the first one I try will show up. Thanks.

Gooooo, Washington!

@XXSpadeMasterXX,
It was the Carolina pick - if I had changed my pick from NO as a hail mary, we'd have been tied. 6 point game, as it was.

Now he owes me dessert at the Cafe on Roma. . . . (he and his wife visit Albuquerque on occasion). Oh, wait, I owe him.

Congratulations, CowDoc!

at least I think that's what happened.

Out With The Old ...
127 ... Days that this silly thread existed, breathlessly documenting the contest
20 ... Players - probably a record. We had six in our first year
9 ... Years, more or less, that we've been doing this
1923 ... Posts this year
29165 ... Views this year (an average of 1500 per player. Go figure)
4924 ... Number of picks we made as a group
2916 ... Number of correct picks (59%)
? ... Number of laughs, probably a bit below average - need a new writer
? ... Number of spats, which was new here. Nothing fatal
57 ... Number of pages of data I threw into recycling today
1 ... Overall Winner: Cowdoc. Despite taking several weekly contests, he never built up a big lead

Final Standings ...
(1) Cowdoc (171-85 .670)
(2) Osso (170-86 .664)

In With The New ...
The next A2K/NFL game is aimed at people who might or might not care about foo0tball but will be subjected to all the Super Bowl hype for the next month - as well as for y'all. The idea is to pick the winners in the wild card games (deadline: January 5th) and then to pick the winners in the rest of the games through to the end in one sitting (deadline: January 12th).
Watch for details tomorrow!

Happy New Year to us all.

Wow is right! Great game all.
John-Boy, thanks again for all your time and number-crunching.

I've made up a spreadsheet you may find helpful if you use Excel.
But given that you've just tossed 57 paper pages, maybe you don't . . .

@ehBeth,
Well, the man's an artist (I just know it) - and runs his own art store. I get his ways - I kept hand drafting well into the 2000's because I enjoyed it. Plus the grid paper is free to him.

In retrospect, keeping track of 20 players - on a weekly basis and on their cumulative records over the course of a season - was beyond the tipping point for me.
By the time I realized that we were well into the season. I can certainly see the need for a change next year.
