What does " 40|30" mean? How to pronounce it?

Context:
30 St Mary Axe measures an impressive 180 metres tall, incorporating 40 floors. Although much of the building is used as office accommodation The Gherkin also houses the private-membership 40|30 restaurant, which offers breathtaking views of the city while dining. This has proved a popular option for those that wish to get married in London to act as the venue for their post-wedding meal.

The name of the restaurant is written 40/30 or 40|30 and pronounced "forty thirty". The owners chose the name, presumably, because it is 40 floors from the ground in the building at 30 St Mary Axe. This building has been nicknamed "The Gherkin" by Londoners. Using a straight vertical bar is a typographical conceit. Logos often have these. I wonder if its verticality symbolises the elevated nature of the restaurant location.

@oristarA,
It is the name of the restaurant.

The restaurant is on levels 39 and 40 of a building at 30 St. Mary Axe.

Your answer was in your question.

Thank you guys.
But I meant that a pic shows the signboard of 40|30 restaurant on which 40|30 can be seen clearly.

@oristarA,
I couldn't find any pictures, maybe someone else will. I suspect that there aren't any signboard for such a place; you are just supposed to know it's there, make reservations, show up at the building and take the elevator up to the 39th floor.

The elevator button is probably the only signage.

Joe(so plebeian to have a sign out front, you see.)Nation

The vertical bar between the 40 and the 30, as I have already said, is purely a separator. a caprice de typographie, it's the sort of thing that 'cool' places do. It has no significance other than as a visual signifier of coolness. It is not meant to be pronounced, and the operators of the restaurant, Searcy's, use other separators in their publicity material.

(I see they don't know the difference between 'discrete' and 'discreet'.)

A cool name/logo combination is something you find in this sort of place. Another example is the Zerodegrees chain of restaurants/bars

@contrex,
I think the logo (the 40 over the 30) is representing that they are 40 floors above #30.

It's probably seen as 40/30 as it's easier to do on most keyboards.
