We were in Iraq in the first place because of Bush. That factor in your reasoning at all?

I think the election may be very close, but I can't confidently predict the outcome. It is amusing to note how the various news sources put so much energy into selecting poll data and other indicators to convince their listeners (and perhaps themselves) that their candidate is ahead. A lot of whistling in the dark in my opinion. It's a hotly contested election and there are a many important and fundamental issues at stake. These make for a very complex situation in which most forecasts are, in my opinion, rather unreliable.
I am, however, confident that, when the dust settles and the results known, our pontificators will clain to have seen it coming and those disappointed in the outcome will find unflattering explanations for those who voted for the winner. A few even seem to be starting early.

Quote:
Romney’s improving image and the changing polls in Ohio do not paint a good picture for Obama.
Time is running out for the president to counter Mitt’s surge.
It’s still a tie, but things seem to be trending Romney’s way.

These two videos — the Islamophobic one and the Obamosexual one — bookend the
remarkable but wholly deserved collapse of the president’s reelection campaign.
There he was ... Meat Loaf harmlessly singing "America the Beautiful" with Mitt Romney at a campaign event yesterday ... when all of a sudden, Mr. Loaf went COMPLETELY OFF THE RAILS.
Meat decided the traditional rendition of the song was a little too boring ... and sane ... so he mixed things up a bit -- with some improv shouting and yelling that he probably considered "creative improvements."
What ensued was nothing short of a musical train wreck.
It's awesome -- ya gotta watch Mitt's face.

Lawrence Wilkerson, Former Colin Powell Aide, Blasts Sununu, GOP, As 'Full Of Racists'
WASHINGTON -- With President Barack Obama stubbornly maintaining a small but clear lead in Ohio polls, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's campaign is contemplating a shift in its electoral map. The pathway to denying the president a second term that once seemed premised on taking back the Buckeye State is increasingly shifting focus to another Midwest state: Wisconsin.
Romney campaign officials would never publicly announce a change in approach. And it's not that they are giving up entirely on Ohio; they certainly have the money to compete anywhere. But Republican sources say Romney headquarters in Boston is increasingly seeing Wisconsin as a state more apt for flipping. Less campaigning has taken place there, meaning fewer voters have been overwhelmed by, and tuned out, political ads. Moreover, the Badger State has, in recent months, been more conducive to Republican success and possesses a stronger ground operation.
On top of that, the Romney ticket features a native son -- vice presidential candidate Rep. Paul Ryan -- and the Republican National Committee is headed by former Wisconsin Republican Party chairman Reince Priebus.
On Friday, the Romney campaign announced it would begin airing ads on broadcast television in Minneapolis -- not to test the waters in Minnesota, though they welcomed the speculation that that's what they were doing -- but to filter into media markets in western Wisconsin. Romney, moreover, is set to head there on Monday night, marking the first time he has visited the state since August, when he announced Ryan as his running mate.
This is funny.
You are saying that Obama is having to fix the economy, because Bush messed it up.
And if Obama wins re-election, who will he inherit the bad economy from then?
Do you mean the recovering economy that is better now than at any other time during his Presidency?
Or do you mean 'bad economy' compared to the economy before Bush trashed it? Why would you let someone fix your car MM when it clearly won't be better than a new car?
Who would have thought that Spurt would be citing Russian propaganda news service as if it was US news? Sometimes people do the damndest things to try to support their world view including getting in bed with people they claim to hate.

When you speak of the US economy: Obama 'inherited' a bad situation then 'made the problem worse'.
Four more years of Obamanomics will only exacerbate the situation resulting in
negative effects on all other aspects of life here in America and around the world.
Obama is not qualified for the job as president. We knew this and he proved us right. Obama needs to be fired.
