My husband and I had an argument and he told me to "shut the **** up" and grabbed me by the throats and threatened to smash his phone across my face. After the fact he acts like nothing happened and told me it was my fault that he got mad...Is this abuse?Am I in trouble and should I be worried? He is usually very nice. I am very confused ...

@Suejaan,
Does this seem rational or loving behavior to you?

Unqestionably its abuse. you were attacked.

Very sad that you need to ask whether or not it is abuse.

You're in trouble if you permit it to continue. Stay somewhere else until he agrees to and starts getting some help as He's in trouble as he needs professional help. Your safety may be at stake.

I'm going to guess that this has happened before? Correct?
Typically this won't go away on its own. Does this seem like rational or loving behavior to you ? Trust your gut instinct.
