@ossobuco,
I honestly believe tgordon92 will win... again.

But be sure as hell I'm going to give him a ride for his money!

@fbaezer,
I can visualize both of those situations.

Good luck to both of you, with a slight edge for you from here, just because my car license plate has the name of a favorite band of yours.

I'm out of it, fool didn't pick Kazachstan (sp), underappreciated the Brits, chose Russia <waves hand, showing no concern>.

We need more trash talkers. Michiganders?

@ossobuco,
Ooo, I'm in 7th!

My cable was out last night, which meant my cable modem was out last night too Sad. Hence, I wasn't able to update the scores, but I'm assuming they're correct (and markr had the same).

Looking at who is ahead of me, I've got a tough road. Many above me have the same Group A picks as me (except Shuho and Iautah, who don't have Great Britain). My best chances at catching the leaders are Switzerland (Equestrian?), Poland, Italy, Japan, Greece and Ethiopia. None are juggernauts by any means, but thankfully, there are many non-mainstream events remaining.

Of course, this is assuming the rest of my countries continue to perform...

@tgordon92,
I have the same scores.

This should be tight until the end. Italy is making a comeback, but South Korea is really kicking butt this Olympics.

Thus far, Greece is the pick I'd change if I could...

That helps, markr. I had a bronze medal misallocated to the Chinese women that belonged to the Chinese men.

@tgordon92,
I have the same scores...though I wish I had about 30 more points. Smile

Iautah makes a *big* move today, mostly thanks to USA Women, who had a successful day. Definitely a dark horse, if the USA Women keep it up.

@George,
The Games are costing £12bn. But can you really put a price on two bronze medals in cycling? - Jimmy Carr UK comedian.

Ireland will come to a standstill at 4.45pm BST as Katie Taylor boxes for gold in the female Lightweight division. With one showjumping bronze and three other boxers advancing to semi-finals held later this week, the 2nd week of London 2012 has proved pretty successful. Go Katie!
