Has anyone ever thought about setting up a webpage to track the daily scoring?
Several years ago, I came across a free Perl-based Fantasy Football commish program called RoboCommish. I might be able to customize it for Fantasy Olympics, if I have any free time...

Hi, Wheel158. Welcome to you and your friends.
I tend to make rules and things up as we go along. "Plan A" assumed we would get only a handful or two of players. I could keep the scores.
If we get more than that, I would propose "Plan B." The players would be divided into leagues of about 6 or 8 teams, competing against each other on that level. They would, of course, vie for the overall championship but would win minor laurels for winning their league.
The magic of that is that I would recruit someone in each league to be its scorekeeper. Pretty cool, huh?
It would be nice if you found a fantasy scoring thing, though.
Group A: Russia and United States Men's Team
Group B: South Korea, France, Japan
Group C: Jamaica, Czech Republic, Kenya, New Zealand, Poland, Brazil
Group D: Azerbaijan, Zimbabwe, Greece, South Africa, Croatia

Here is what you need to do to participate in our game. The deadline is Tuesday, July 24.
Choose 2 teams from Group A: Australia, China-Men, China-Women, Germany, Russia, United Kingdom, United States-Men; United States-Women.
Now choose 3 teams from Group B: Belarus, Canada, Cuba, France, Hungary,
Italy, Japan, Netherlands, South Korea, Spain, Ukraine.
And then choose 5 teams from Group C: Argentina, Brazil, Czech Republic,
Denmark, Georgia, Jamaica, Kazakhstan, Kenya, New Zealand, North Korea,
Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey.
Finally, choose 5 teams from the rest of the countries of the world. There are too many to list. If you google 2008 Summer Olympics Medal Count you can see all of the countries that won medals the last time. Choose any 5 but they can not be those listed in Groups A, B or C.
Good luck!
Final
Group A: Russia and United States Men's Team
Group B: South Korea, France, Japan
Group C: Jamaica, Czech Republic, Kenya, New Zealand, Brazil
Group D: Azerbaijan, India, Greece, South Africa, Ethiopia

Another set of selections came in over the transom.
Rhys picks from Boston via email:
Group A: US-Women & Great Britain
Group B: Canada, South Korea and Spain
Group C: Argentina, Brazil, Jamaica, New Zealand and Poland
Group D: Greece, Belgium, Columbia, Netherlands and Mexico
By my tally, we have chosen over 25 countries in Group D.
It's time for you, yes you, to make your choices.
