That is at the intersection of Bush and Grant streets in SF. Looking up Grant through the Gate to Chinatown.

Diane and Dys,

Is this the hotel you're staying in?

Executive Hotel Vintage Court, Nob Hill
San Francisco, CA

If not, please post a link so I can reserve a room.

c.i.,

Should I be staying downtown, or some other location? And also, which airport is the best?

Lola, Since I don't have information on the best airfares from your departure city to Oakland or San Francisco, I wouldn't know what to recommend. As for lodging, dys and Diane are staying at the Nob Hill Motor Inn and osso is staying at Hotel Adagio. I'm staying at my brother-in-laws in Diamond Heights. Please send me by PM your "real" name and mail address. I have a "surprise" for each attendee. Wink I'm hoping the vendor will mail it to me on time, so I can mail them out before I leave for Japan on March 25.

Lol,

SWA goes into Oakland, which is where we're going. The King George has a shuttle from there or we can take the BART to within three blocks.

I posted earlier that due to the prohibitive cost of daily parking we chose not to rent a car, so we plan on BARTing it and cabbing it (when we can't mooch a ride from c.i.).

Lola, that is not where they are staying. They are staying at Nob Hill Motor Inn, I think. (It's mentioned earlier on the original San Francisco thread. Watch out, there are two Nob Hill named hotels, the Motor Inn part is important.)

That sounds like I know SF cold and I don't. I like that cafe though and I know CI has been there...

We were waiting at our table. The cash register is just to the right side of that door. Wink

I don't think I had food in that Cafe, it was a place to meet a friend before going somewhere else, but I liked it for all the international newpapers...

I thought it was Lola and then I saw CI had said the same.
EhBeth once looked up the Nob Hill Hotel, and that was a different place...

The NHMI is on Pacific, something like 1630, right?

Check out the Hotel Adagio - not for anybody to change reservations and move to, but it might be a place we can meet ....

I couldn't pass it up, as with my flight it is only $60. a night...

Here's a map of San Francisco and the location of the hotel. The downtown area is to the right side.

Hotel Adagio is located between the "G" and "e" on Geary Street on the map. Good location, osso. We could probably have our first meet there. Wink Look'n good!

The Hyatt Regency is located towards the end on Sacramento Street represented by that purple rectangle on the right side towards the bay. It really has a nice ambiance in the extremely large lobby. If we should plan a meet there, go up the escalator to the second floor.

CI, did you look at the Adagio lobby and restaurant/coffee shop?

Plus there is always the St. Francis Lobby, also on Union Square. And you're right, the Hyatt...
but I think PDiddie and his wife and D/D and Lola will be towards the left slightly. Can't remember, is the King George on Mason and Geary? Close, anyway.

The Nob Hill Motor inn is more Up on the map...

back after I look for better map than they show with these hotel sites.. I could scan one, but not til Sunday.
