Which is/are the correct preposition and verb?
In the above sentence, should I use 'is' or 'are'? Thanks.

Your relative pronoun (which) refers to "which one is the correct preposition and which one is the correct verb. So I choose "is."

The best way is to write the same way you talk. When you concentrate on grammar too much you lose spontaneity.

Nevertheless, 'is' is correct, and since that is the way to speak, it should also be the way to write.

'which' is not a relative pronoun here, Punkey. It's an interrogative pronoun.

That certainly has an element of truth in it, Rick, but the bigger issue is that the vast majority of people consciously know so little about grammar that it doesn't help them at all. When they "think" about grammar, they just get confused by all the nonsense about grammar that they were taught in school.

Thanks, Rickoshay75. But you seem to miss the fact that I am a non-native. Therefore, I would not even know which verb to use, to begin with.
