Oh, good. I apologize for thinking that, kickycan. I have had my passive-aggressive behavior pointed out a few times, so I'm attuned to it.

I have sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law who are very pesky. I know how irritating they can be. Why can't people just get along?

Just in case anyone was interested.

I called this weekend and didn't even mention the upsetting incident. I figured, if she's upset about it, let her bring it up. She didn't, and everything went great. I gushed and flattered, and asked questions . . . it was beautiful.

Thanks for the advice, people.

You did the right thing. Expectant parents are so durn tetchy they have to be treated with kid gloves.
