Top al-Qa'ida Leader Arrested in Egypt

Saif al-Adel was #5 in their hierarchy on 9/11.

And now after the deaths of Osama bin Laden, Mohammed Atef, and Shaikh Saiid al-Masri, Saif was second only to Zawahiri.

He is by far the highest-ranking al-Qa'ida leader ever captured alive.

Sounds good. Will it make any noticeable change in things?

I don't know how noticeable the change would be, but it would be a serious blow.

But now there are reports that maybe it wasn't Saif:

He could just be trying to lie his way out of being captured though. I suppose we'll know either way by the end of the day.

Darn it, looks like it really was a case of mistaken identity.

Sigh. Oh well.
