I say it depends on the friends you have. I only have two best friends and we are incredibly close, yip i got other friends but i wouldn't even trust them with my hand bag
No, you should not tell everything.
You might have things you like to keep to yourself.
There might be something somebody told you and asked you not to tell.
DonĀ“t tell the amount on your bankaccount.
no. Unless they are going to crawl into your skin and run your life for you they have no need for all of that information, so why would you weight them down like that?

@OmSigDAVID,
I do but not with my best friends. Yip took me three years to trust them and once i did they have never let me down. But good on you for being safe i guess
One passed away recently, and we were there for her everyday until it was her last. My friends are like me, we have trusting issues exactly like you. But not when it comes to each other. I hope you find friends like mine

Should We Tell Everything To Our Best Friends?
Well the problem is people like to talk even though they shouldn't. So technically if your friends are really your friends they won't talk about stuff you tell them in confidence that they won't tell everyone. But the reality is you can't expect them to talk. So my philosophy is, I don't tell someone something unless I honestly don't care about everyone else finding out about it. If I can't assume that then I just don't say anything. It has nothing to with trust, because I trust that something will slip eventually so you get what you pay for. Does it suck that you can't tell someone something and expect them not to divulge it to anyone else? Yeah but that is how people are.

@Triste Joven,
I wouldn't tell them "everything". I would say some things given the right context, but not "everything".

a better question would be, after a dozen or so pints, should we tell everything to the stranger sitting next to you on the bar stool

I see no reason to tell everything to anybody. Some thoughts and feelings are private and personal.
