I've just been thinking, is their a thread that outlines what people think about how people should behave on A2K? If not, I'd like know what pisses people off in the A2K community so that any new comers can have an understanding of the etiquette in this community.

[+4] - thack45 - 02/25/2012I don't think anyone on a2k has ever pissed me off. That's not to say I've never been pissed off by someone posting on a web forum before... just that I don't get pissed by forum posters...

Is your aim to piss people off or is it to not piss people off?

Think of A2K as a Wild West Saloon....that is stick around for any length of time and you are likely to end up in a brawl. It is not everyones cup of tea

I don't aim to piss people off but sometimes it unintentionally happens, and sometimes people piss me off. What I try to do is to be that rodeo clown trying difuse the raging bull. But sometimes it's better to just walk away.

No problem. I was just excited at the thought I could make a thread about the etiquette in A2K without checking if they're have been some already. I just checked and there are plenty.

Rather than a Wild West Saloon, I tend to think of it more sociologically, in that there are posters that want to be Alpha posters, and then there are posters that are content to be the Beta posters that tend to agree with the Alpha poster(s), as long as they are given credit for their own thoughts, without real offensive replies.

Perhaps, a good analogy is a dog pack. Alpha dog, then Beta dogs, then the rest of the dog pack. Just my opinion.

The thing is, some people have manners , others don't! Then you have people like hawkeye, BillRM and a few others, who are sick and perverted, don't waste your breath on them, it's fruitless.

Everyone has bad days and reacts to certain topics differently. One day you shrug it off, the next you argue and want to see blood.

A2k can be a mine field and it can be quite pleasant, depending how you
maneuver yourself around.

I would say that both Bill and Hawkeye have had more vitriol launched against them than they have launched themselves, CJ.

It's simply their unpopular messages that has caused this. But isn't it the very essence of American free speech to defend all speech, even that which is unpopular?

I don't think CJ is trying to deny Bill and Hawkeye's right to free spech. She was just expressing her own right to free speech, by pointing out how sick and perverted they both are.
