Obama hits Romney on record as governor in N.H. stump speech

NASHUA, N.H. — President Obama today assailed Mitt Romney’s record as governor of Massachusetts, telling a crowd outside a Nashua elementary school that the Bay State ranked 48th in small business creation during his one term in office — a period in which the president said his rival raised $750 million in fees and taxes.

“When he left office, there were only three states in the country that created fewer jobs than Massachusetts and, by the way, one of them was Louisiana, which had been hit by hurricane Katrina,” said Obama, who made his sixth visit to the Granite State this year.

“Ten days, New Hampshire. Ten days and you will be stepping into a voting booth and making a defining choice about the future of our country. Not just a choice between two candidates, or two political parties, it is a choice between two fundamentally different visions for America.”

I don't think he limps nearly as much as you do.

You all limp, badly. There's nothing that you can offer, nothing that anyone has offered that can explain away these horrendous crimes. Is there any country that has had such a long record of abusing people this badly? I think not.

The Obama campaign seems quite happy after record turnouts were reported in counties across Florida today, the first day of early voting.

The Times' Adam Smith reported on Twitter, "More than 20k pple voted eary today so far in Hillsborough Co...In 08 biggest single day (11/1/08) was 18,736.

The Miami Herald's Marc Caputo tweeted, "Miami-Dade early voting so heavy that by 3 pm 14,745 people voted -- more than ENTIRE first day of 08 EV (12,000). 12-hour total: 22,625."

Gary Fineout of the Associated Press, "Leon County - a Democratic stronghold in Fla - had a record turnout for early voting with 5447 votes cast on day 1."

Democrats typically have an advantage with early voting, but Republicans have been putting a higher emphasis on its turnout effort this time. On Sunday, Democrats will focus on getting out the black vote, with a "Souls to the Polls" drive.

England...both of which had longer records of abusing people even more badly.

Gas prices have dropped almost 50 cents here in the last 2 months. Next we will hear about how that is a conspiracy by the oil companies to reelect Obama.

I can't imagine anyone with half a brain who thinks any oil company would wish to see Obama reelected.
