Is it being suggested that sending the Seals into dangerous action was motivated by a desire to be seen as hawkish whilst sat in the WH watching it on video link?

I'm sure if you were president, Spendius, you would have lead the team on a chestnut destrier.

If I was to be elected President Frank my first action would be to resign.

@JPB,
Your quote implied it. OBL was an un-person once his location was discovered.

And he was executed without due process.

@Frank Apisa,
If Spendius was president, Frank, he would quickly become a terrorist and a war criminal. Y'all might as well make an amendment stating that as a requirement for being president.

It's too bad you didn't prescribe the same response when you elected to join A2K.

A quick resignation might save you from becoming a terrorist/war criminal, Spendi.

I think the blogger was making an observation on the outcome, not the intent.

I love that answer, Spendius.

Actually, during the run-up to the election, I wrote a piece that suggested the first thing the winner should do is to demand a re-count.

The job is beyond comprehension...and I do not envy the person taking it on.

Of course they're Americans, CI. Is there a larger group of delusional people on the planet?

No, really?

Not surprising, as we watch the republican deliberate tanking of the economy at its best since he took over it's not surprising the stocks are up and people are more positive.

Republicans lost and they lost their hold on trashing our president.

The people have spoken!

Obama Popularity Rating Rises In Second Term, Poll Shows

Quote:
President Obama's popularity among constituents is rising in the early days of his second term.

According to a Washington Post/ABC News poll, 60 percent of respondents said they had a favorable view of the president, while only 37 percent said they had an unfavorable view.

This is the highest his favorability has been since 2009, the first year of his first term, when he received 79 percent positive responses in a similar poll. It's also up from last year's ratings, which found his popularity in the 50 percent range.

The poll was conducted between January 23rd and January 27th, in the days following his inauguration speech.

@jcboy,
When one disfunctional party in the US tries its best to ruin Obama, and all the signs show he's doing a good job on our economy and as president, you gotta wonder when they're going to wise up?

McConnell's "one term president" goal has failed big time, and they're now wondering what went wrong! LOL

They can't see that their discrimination against gays, women, minorities, and voters have turned them into a pariah. They believe they can turn that around by voting for immigration legislation, but they're too stupid to see that "everybody" understands their tactics are political, and not coming from the heart.
