Don't let the glamor of the office of President delude you. Even if a knob is elected, Congress still holds the purse strings, and only Congress can initiate legislation. Far more worrying to a thoughtful person is the composition of Congress, not the empty suit who might or might not get into the Oval Office.

The stimulus bill was ****. Tax cuts gave my older son who was working a 45 hour a week job, a whole $13.00 a week more. He just bought his own private jet with the extra money. Unemployment benefit extension breeds entitlement society. Auto bailout I totally agreed with. The cash-4-clunkers was ******* retarded. Obamacare caused my BCBS insurance to now have a $3000 deductable and it was ZERO. It used to pay 95%, now it pays 80%. Premiums went up about 25% also.

Your son doesn't represent the majority of American workers and unemployed who benefited from the stim bill. No wonder you're an ass; you only look for yourself at yourself. Your ego doesn't allow for rational discussion or thought.

I can go toe to toe with you on this. I force my son to work and I won't let him work for me, so he can appreciate the value of a dollar. His wonderful low paying job helps him see what it takes to make it on his own. I don't help him out financially at all. He will go to work for me after he proves himself. My younger son is exactly like me and got a job at 12 years old mowing lawns. Saved his money and watched me like a hawk in my investment strategies. He's 22 and has a net worth of $400,000. My older son, is a consumer. He spends everything he makes. He blows it on video games or whatever and money isn't important to him. He lives in a very small apartment and is completely happy. There is no jealousy and my older son tried to get him to do what we do. He won't do it. Which that is fine with me. As long as he is happy. He got laid off about 8 months ago and didn't even file unemployment. He took another low paying job. I know that he is the rarity. He loves to work for someone else that involves being around a lot of people. Stim bill was a waste of money and was only temporary jobs at best. Unemployment extensions only benefit the lazy. Really?? If you can't find a job in a year and a half, you need to move to where the jobs are. Mainly Texas. I live in Arizona and EVERYBODY IS HIRING!!!!! Geez. People don't work here because they get that "FREE OBAMA UNEMPLOYMENT EXTENTION MONEY!!!" That, my friend, is the entitlement mentality. Sure they worked on some highways here with the Stim money. I've seen more flourescent Orange barrels stuck all over the highways blocking the way and jamming up traffic for 3 years. But they are always working on the roads here anyway even before the Stimulus. So the stim bought those signs bragging on how your stimulus money was working. Green energy is proving to be a faux way of replacing actual energy. Not cost effective and a waste of money.

My apartment rent in 1983 was $650 a month and I was making $3.35 an hour with a roommate paying half. Gee, I made it. I didn't starve. I got sick of being broke, so I bettered myself though investing.
