I love this: Decades-famous drag queen, Ru Paul, is in New Hampshire this weekend "campaigning". His slogan: "I am not Ron Paul". Heehee. And he's in man-drag and looks adorable.

More seriously, are there no republican primary threads on a2k already?

@littlek,
Finally, a credible candidate for the GOP.

@littlek,
ha! I used politics - it was the second or third thread (would be first now, since Snood just posted).

@littlek,
Yo K...good to see ya.

Seems like all philosophy here...no real politics. Not sure why.

But Ru Paul seems to me to be head and shoulders better than any of the candidates currently running in the Republican primaries. He is not quite as funny as they are, but that is a rather high bar they are setting.

Unfortunately, I think whoever the Republicans choose...will unseat Barack Obama. His base has deserted him...and will regret their shortsightedness when it happens.

@Frank Apisa,
Frank! Good to see you, too.

I haven't yet deserted Obama. He's certainly better than the alternatives we have now.

Why? Because there is one respondent who has chosen to babble on on that thread because he can not get noticed on any other one. A barnacle, perhaps.
There are a number of us - most of us, in fact -who are working on keeping this thread on topic. Please join us at the link above.
Thanks. RJB

@Frank Apisa,
I haven't deserted him, and am part of an unhappy base.

I think it remains an open question how the base will end up voting.

@realjohnboy,
There is a contingent here of folks who will just about never shut up and go way off the bend on derailing. Not that I'm not at fault on that on occasion, but I try to keep my tangents short.

To me the problem is those who feed it.
