It's been posted on two separate threads as far as I'm aware.

I wonder Y people publish their ages.
I never did, at any age.

I have been posting, on hundreds and maybe thousands of threads, with avatars depicting me as Milton Friedman, Paul Krugman, Antonin Scalia, Richard Dawkins, and Douglas Adams respectively. Does that make you think I'm any of those people? The evidence, after all, is exactly as strong as the evidence for softballstar 48's age. As they used to say: on the internet, nobody knows you're a dog. And by extension, nobody knows you're the age that you say you are. Get over it.

@Thomas,
I have to disagree on "get over it".

Someone who posts multiple times that they're 11, over 11 (which turns out to mean not 12 by their definition) ... I think the site should be very careful about allowing that person to continue posting.

@Thomas,
My son is 12, and there are certain people on this forum I would not want him communicating with.

Heck, my daughter is 16 and I wouldn't want her to post here.

I'm sure. Indeed, there once was a poster who told me I was one of them, and that she hoped I never got anywhere near her daughter in real life. People make lots of projections about other people they encounter online. The truth is that none of us really knows who the other one is---and that "confessions" about one's age or gender aren't telling us, either.

@Thomas,
That's why statements from authority are meaningless online. If you can't at least provide a logical basis for your claims, or link them, or cite well known principles of knowledge, there's no reason to take someone's word for something. One can claim to be a professor of philosophy, or a civil engineer or a well-known ornithologist--but no one has any way to verify that, so one needs to come up with more than "because i say so" to back up what one says.

@Rockhead,
That's correct. Hawkeye started the account for me after we had sex one afternoon. (Most beautiful moment in my life by the way.) He did my writing for me until I could do it myself.

@Thomas,
Needless to say, all of the above is bullshit. But how can you prove that to me? How can I prove to you that it isn't? We can't. That's my point. Statements about our own identity mean nothing online. To pretend that they do is silly for us, and would be bad policy for A2K. (Just my two cents.)

No, that happened my pubic-hair stylist's recommendation. Word is that the ladies like their men shaved all around.

I didn't really need to know that, but I suppose it's my fault for asking.
