This is a bit strange, because I was talking to someone last week who told me that there is now a bacon-flavored vodka. I'm not making that up--she said it was real. I am afraid to google it, just in case she was telling the truth. eew was of course the reaction. It it is really real, you could pour the bacon-flavored vodka and the maple flavored vodka over a waffle ad light it on fire, and have flavored waffle flambe.

These flavored vodka's are a fad, their 5 minutes are about up, and I will not be sad to see them go. My wife likes this crapola, and I want it out of my house, it is embarrassing.

He tried one the other night with OJ - didn't like it, so I suggested he add bitters to it, he said it wasn't too bad. He doesn't like pineapple, but maybe someone else will. I don't know too many people who drink hard liquour these days. I'm thinking the bottles will sit here collecting dust.

That would be "Heart-Shaped World" off the list that I gave you. Where was the sugar? Did you consider adding the strawberry that the recipe calls for?

When you dont know what you are doing following the recipe the first time you try something is always a good idea.

Quote:
1 ½ parts ABSOLUT® 100
¼ part Parfait Amour (or Crème de Peche)
¼ part Maple Syrup
½ part Fresh-Squeezed Orange juice
½ part Strawberry Puree
Approximately 2 dashes Peach Bitters

Shake all ingredients, and strain over ice into a rocks glass.
Garnish with a strawberry and Conversation Hearts
