I am trying to get the translation for the following for a tatoo.

I am responsible for my own happiness.

Negativity only brings you down if you accept it.

@skongolf,
Here's how I'd render the first:

"I am responsible for my own happiness."
Auctor meae felicitatis sum.

As for the second, I'll have to think about it a little more.
It's idiomatic English and difficult for me to find the Latin equivalent,
especially for a word like "negativity".

Please read this.

@George,
I was thinking about that earlier. Negativity doesn't translate very well into any other language.

@Lustig Andrei,
Yeah, it's a poser.

@George,
Hey George, thanks for the reply. It is interesting, seeing the different translations online. Yours was definately unlike the rest, and I do like it. I will work on maybe rephrasing the second one.

@George,
Hey George,
Wondered if you could do a couple more for me?
"There is more to live than just being alive."
and
"Life is shaped by the decisions you make, Choose wisely, be happy, and live for the day"
Thanks
George

@skongolf,
"There is more to live than just being alive."
I assume you mean "to life", not "to live".
Here's how I have seen this translated:
In vita plura quam modo vivere.

"Life is shaped by the decisions you make, Choose wisely, be happy, and
live for the day"

Vita rationis factis formata est, sapienter elige et felix esto et pro die vive.

Note: for "live for the day", instead of the literal pro die vive, you might
prefer the famous Latin quote carpe diem.
