What articles of clothing are commonplace among tough guys & streetfighters (in comics)?

Really? The A-Team were street fighter types- they weren't punks:

They weren't always going to blows with enemies - they strategized how they were going to beat them, and were always trying to have the one-up on them.

That is basically what my characters will do when they fight villains.

A few years ago, I met one of the writers for that television show. He is gay and living with a male partner.

@wandeljw,
I did not know that. Do you have any suggestions for tough guy/street fighter clothes?

I was told elsewhere:

Denim jackets with riped sleeves, gold teeth, pinky rings.

@JGoldman10,
I have known for a long time that I do not have an "eye" for what is artistic. I would be the worst person to advise you on drawing. I did take a drawing class once and the teacher actually told me that I would be better off studying music.

@wandeljw,
I'm sure Jason has heard the same thing, and then responded by yelling BLASPHEMER at the teacher and smiting fellow students with a righteous ruler.

@wandeljw,
No- I mean, do you know what tough guys and streetfighters typically wear?

I took a bunch of drawing classes when I was a student. I am looking into finding where I can take drawing classes in my area.

@wandeljw,
Where did you meet the man who worked on the A-Team?

@JGoldman10,
He taught a seminar at my workplace and mentioned that he used to make a lot more money when he was one of the writers for the A-Team.

@wandeljw,
Why did you find it necessary to tell me he is gay?

I am NOT gay. I am a BORN-AGAIN CHRISTIAN. I did not need to know that.

@JGoldman10,
OK I wonder if anyone can count the amount of times on a thread that Jason mentions that he's a Christian and that Jesus is his personal advisor.

Do you think anyone here does not know this things or that this point into the thread that you like comics?

It is just a detail that I find interesting. He wrote dialog for all the tough guys on the A-Team.

@Ragman,
We need to make it a drinking game. Compile a list of frequently used words and take a swig of your beverage of choice each time it is used in the daily new posts.

@wandeljw,
Again, WHY? I don't want to know what GAY people are doing. I do not want to know what that man's SEXUAL ORIENTATION is- that is not my business. What he does behind closed doors IS NOT BY BUSINESS.

What makes you think I want to KNOW what homosexuals are doing? Seriously.

I AM NOT QUEER. I AM NOT HOMOPHOBIC BUT I AM NOT PARTICULARLY CRAZY ABOUT GAY PEOPLE OR WHAT THEY ARE DOING. GOD SAYS HOMOSEXUALITY IS AN ABOMINATION AND A SIN- HE HATES WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

I AM A CHRISTIAN- HOMOSEXUALITY IS NOT OF GOD. I AM AGAINST HOMOSEXUALITY.

I AM NOT INTERESTED IN ANY HOMOSEXUAL AGENDA- THAT IS OFFENSIVE.

Since you told me that I am going to pray for him.

If you want to be doubly sure ask Santa as well. You'll need a bigger stocking though.

It is a true story. I was hoping you would see that it is wrong to stereotype people.

@wandeljw,
A team, how creative is that.

There are also men that are not gay but very in-tune with their "feminine" side, which I find very endearing....

I think the Lord also says don't Judge... It would be nice, if that worked but alas it didn't wandeljw.

I think denim jackets are old hat, out.... hoods, ears pierced, hair scruffed up, the walk, it's definately the walk....tough guy

@wandeljw,
Who said I was stereotyping? I had a relative who was gay - but I am glad He made a conscious decision to turn away from that and repent and turn his life over to Christ.

I should look at movies about gangs:

old rap videos, and videos about gangs:

and video games with street fighting character types:

and action movies with big name action stars - Stallone, Scwartzenegger, Van Damme, etc. and movies about fighting like the Karate Kid to get ideas.

My characters aren't going to use weapons when they fight.

@JGoldman10,
Did you talk to him whilst he was gay? I hope so.

Van Dammeeeee oh well nearly married, Mickey Rorke was good at dressing to in those types of movies, but he beat his wife.
