It feels more like summer here today than it felt like summer all summer.

@boomerang,
You can go now, Miss Pollyanna . . . sheesh . . .

While we were out walking, the little girl dog found a patch of snow in the shade which hadn't melted, so she laid down and just smiled.

We're supposed to get a dusting of snow and high winds here in ABQ tomorrow night or Friday morning. We sure could use the moisture in the landscape. What isn't already dead from lack of water will probably die from the hard freeze that is coming along with the snow.

@jcboy,
I just got back from Bay Pines up in St. Petersburg. Like a nut job I went up there dressed in shorts and a Hawaiian shirt. It was brisk..maybe 58 deg with lots of clouds at 2-3 pm. A cold front is moving in and over night they're predicting a low of 45 deg for some of lucky souls.

@Setanta,
How's about frosted mini-tweaks?

I must remember this the next time I'm down at my buddy's place off Parsons...

@Setanta,
That's the one. He lives in an apartment above some sort of business, across the street from a bustling liquor store. It's great fun to take a couple of drinks up to his roof, catch up and watch the baseheads and pros meander about.

@jcboy,
Yeah..be aware that those low temps are for those who reside more inland but it's going to be breezy. If you are nearer to the shore (like me), you'll see upper 40s-50. Feel better now?

Snow at Los Alamos would not be a surprise. Snow in Albequerque, though . . .

Of course we never got snow where I lived in CA but I do miss spending a weekend up in Big Bear during ski season. Nice cabin with a fire in the fire place, I do miss that.

@Setanta,
We have had some mild snow, I think each year since I've been here, abq west side. Not like the Chicago area of my childhood.
I have to watch it re slipping potential on driveway (I'm a clutz) and I don't have experience driving on black ice. Never lived with snow as an adult. So, so far I don't drive those rare days. There was a fine early a.m. that Diane took me to a surgery in a freaky snow thing. Even she, ms. bravada, was a bit freaked. And besides that, we had to find the place..

@jcboy,
When I was seven, we had a light snow in Santa Monica, so it's possible at low elevation. That probably lasted fifteen minutes.
