Hardy and Brawley/-ee definitely sound like dog names.

I knew a Brawley once she wasn't a dog. If I had been heterosexual I'd have been all over her. Then again, she was a decent young lady with gorgeous locks of golden yellow hair, flowing apast her shoulders. There is a photo here somewhere of her and me together at our graduation.

You should apologize at once for saying Brawley is a dog name, that's simply not true.

Rusty and Dusty sound more like chick names.

"Rusty" doesn't sound like a chick name to me at all. When I was in elementary school, one of my friends was a boy named Rusty. (That was decades ago. Haven't seen him since. I wonder what became of him ... Sad )

Edit: I just did a Google image search on "rusty" and came up with the image below, which I thought was sufficiently random to post ... Mr. Green

I do agree that "Dusty" is a chick's name. In fact, there was a chick singer who was part of the British Invasion in 1964. Speaking of whom, I've taken the liberty to post a You Tube video of one of her songs, which happens to be one of my favorites. Smile A song for the asking, if you please ... Mr. Green

"Tower" reminds me of the late John G. Tower, who was the first Republican since Reconstruction to be elected to the U.S. Senate from the state of Texas.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/9a/John_Tower.jpg

His voting record on civil rights and other race-related issues was indistinguishable from that of the Southern segregationist conservative Democrats. I couldn't stand him. Mad

But that's neither here nor there. Of course, "Tower" is a good name for a tough dog.

"Terry" is also a girl's name, but that doesn't mean it's not a good one for you to use.

Unfortunately, whenever I hear or read the name "Ajax," this is what I think of ...

http://www.winergyinc.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/ajax.jpg

And when I read the name "Ruffler," this is what I think of ...

But that's still sufficiently masculine, I guess. Smile

Whichever names you choose to use is your choice and yours alone. Ultimately, it is all up to you.

By the way, as you can tell, I just love to post pictures. I really do. Smile Firefly inspired me. Mr. Green

Sorry. As I'm older than you, I'm behind the times. Well, now that you mention it, I had heard of an Ajax in Greek mythology; but 45 years have elapsed since the time I studied that stuff in my high-school freshman English class. (Man, I hated high school. Couldn't wait for it to end. Mr. Green )

@wmwcjr,
Terry has a tough-guy feel to it. It is also a pun on dog breed names, like a few of the other names I posted - Dane, Dobe, and Shep.

Ruffler is a slang term, and Tower is a name that signifies strength.

Powerhouse is a good name.

The Warriors came out before I was born but I recall seeing it.

@JGoldman10,
This is an insult.....using Dane for a tough-guy feeling.
A Dane is as a rule full of humour, easy going and in no way tough-guy types.
I PROTEST!!!!!!!!!

What is wrong with Puffy?;

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=puffy&page=2

A person who's got large muscles, but isn't cut up. Thus, the person ends up lookin swollen all over. Not necessarily fat.

can be used as noun, adjective, or nickname.
noun=an extremely cool person.
adjective=amazing

nickname=a nickname for someone that demonstrates puff-like qualities (i.e: coolness, awesomeness, enthusiam)

I have a cat with that name.
