I am reading a book. At the beginning of Chapter One, the author quotes a passage about his youth experience in italic. At the end of the passage, she writes

What does the word AW mean here?

Not sure. Could you quote more of the passage? Like the last sentence or two preceding the AW?

THis Book, one of the authors is named Arinna Weisman. So AW means Arinna Weisman?

That seems likely to me. In one of my poker books written by multiple authors, little notes will be followed by initials so you could see which of the authors said what.
