Why do many cartoonists find it "necessary" to give cartoon characters love interests?

@JGoldman10,
Who made you an authority on children. You have no children, so what do you know.

@JGoldman10,
So, what has that got to do with raising children.

Bar the indoctrinating and brain washing, oh and lets not forget all the child abuse committed by so called christians.

JG re this last bit on Pepi
Quote:
he may either be bisexual (or may be suspected as a homosexual) or is somewhat a lonely character who wants to be loved.

Take out your descrimination cause God doesn't judge and see the bold, do you see you in there? I do

@FOUND SOUL,
Pepe was an amorous character - I watched him as a kid and never thought about his behaviour.

Did you ever watch Carrotblanca? The cat flirts with Daffy and leaves Sylvester to be with Bugs at the end:

What is bad about some cartoons is that they try to market them to attract older audiences because they assume that is what they want to see.

When is jokes about prison rape appropriate in a kids'/family cartoon?

Always, there was never enough prison rape in the Teletubbies, that's why they don't show it any more.

@JGoldman10,
I don't recall that one.

But, it's amazing what we see as Adults that we missed as children, didn't see because let's face it as children, we are nieve to all the goings on in the World.

I thought the Simpsons was in-appropriate for "kids" secretly I think they made it for the Adults.

I get a kick out of watching it, very clever and funny.. Yet Homor always goes to strangle Bart... How much money did they and are they making for that creation..zillions

@FOUND SOUL,
I don't get why the Simpsons is so popular- it is a show about a family of dysfunctional retards.

@JGoldman10,
haha...

True, but it's amusing because it's intelligent and has some really good characters...Moe is funny, the Irish Man with the rake, can't think of his name, the stupid Cop in charge of Springfield... And Maggie is adorable.

I don't watch the Simpsons- I outgrew it and hate it. I haven't watched it in years. I don't watch a lot of these so-called adult cartoons they have on. I hate them.

@JGoldman10,
Don't hate anything in life, dis-like is okay.

Well you have a very good memory to rattle of their names let alone their occupation....

You "must" have liked it "years" ago, our brain only remembers what we want to and ditches what we don't want to remember....
