But nobody's coming out. What's up with that?

@Lustig Andrei,
Not enough closet rods to swing from.

@dlowan,
Was that apropos of something Osso posted?

@Lustig Andrei,
I think it was a slippery digression.

I have no personal knowledge of people swinging out of closets in Venice, Italy. I don't think we had a closet, but an armoire. I hated the place at first (the pensione) then got to like it. Had some qualms about Venice itself (tourists!!), but got over it as they tended to clog in groups and could be bypassed.

@ossobuco,
Reason I don't want to live in Honolulu. You're tripping over nothing but tourists. See very few of them here in Hilo except when there's a cruise ship in harbour. Even then they mostly get around on tour buses instead of traipsing 'round on foot and getting in one's way.

@Lustig Andrei,
No....it's apropos of something Margo posted back up a ways saying she was in Venice.

Just being helpful.

@Lustig Andrei,
I believe you. I've gotten slightly less hostile to cruise ships over the years, though I'm still eye rolling, but that was before the big ones. We are not all alike in our needs, so I have slightly gotten that - at the same time they're ballooning and sending gigantos into Venice, messing with the Giudecca canal, which is funny photographically if it weren't sad.

I won't chase all the links I've read, just an idea of the sturm & drang.

I'd say payoff, but I don't know enough to claim that.

@dlowan,
I always nudge Margo re her trips.
I'm interested trips in general but especially those of friends.
Just reading Salon.com's book, Wanderlust. Lot of good stuff in there, a book I don't want to finish, want it to go on and on.

I'm not in Venice, or Adelaide, any more - but back in Sydney! Sad

At work, with my stunning view of Parramatta Road traffic at a standstill - and a very attractive gi-normous bright orange storage facility. If I move a bit, I can see a tree.

@Lustig Andrei,
Me, once I've stated my case, and find that a specific poster is going to keep on disagreeing, no matter what I say, I gladly get the hell out of the conversation. No sense in beating my head against a brick wall when it's obvious that all your opponent wants to do is argue. But, that's me.

Isn't this page 88 or so?

@JTT,
So? Nobody's arguing. The thread morphed into something entirely different through no effort of mine. If you (or anyone else) starts any **** with me, I'll just ignore that person. That's the kind of situation I'm talking about where I don't care about "the last word."
