The point is that the people who were running a major motion picture company thought this movie would be scary. You'd think they would know better. As every schoolchild knows, the idea of giant killer bunnies simply isn't scary. In fact, it's ludicrous and downright hilarious. Especially when the "monsters" are cute pet store bunnies. They're not even jackrabbits.
