@firefly,
You're right, I need more scope. Not to mention a manual, which you did. Thanks!

This is getting us nowhere fast...or is it slowly? Can't seem to tell.

@Sturgis,
I think we're rambling along to nowhere. Or maybe ambling along to nowhere. Sort of like meandering down a country road in the middle of nowhere.

@Debacle,
Now I think we're getting somewhere.

That makes me think of a Caesar salad.

I haven't had one in a while...might make one for lunch.

I always thought that this thread might turn out to be inspiring.

@firefly,
Caesar? Mmmm ... Richard Burton played him in Cleopatra - here he is with Elizabeth Taylor

@vonny,
I believe Caesar was played by Rex Harrison. Burton played Mark Antony. I could be mistaken; I never saw the film.

@Debacle,
I do believe you are right.

But Burton, like a Caesar salad, was a tasty dish--certainly, for Liz Taylor.

@firefly,
As much as watching him act, I enjoyed Richard Burton's poetry readings.

Here are a couple: Gerard Manley Hopkins Leaden Echo and Dylan Thomas The Force That Through the Green Fuse Drives the Flower.

@Debacle,
I could (via my questionable ability to get to youtube (hear the last one) But, of course, being hard of hearing, I'm just listening to well spoken murmurs.

Luckily, I remember Burton.

I'll add piquantly that I probably fell in love with my husband for his voice.
Ex, we still talk.

@ossobuco,
When I love a man, I always love the sound of his voice...

@firefly,
The voice is definitely a consideration. If they have a whiny voice it's over. A deep voice helps, a clear deep voice.
