Snort - I've been out of here for hours now.
Never just listen to me.
Seems back.

From Peter (one of the A2K hamsters) on FB:
Quote:
Peter F: There is a network problem at our hosting provider (Wiredtree) that caused our server (and many others) to be unavailable for several hours. able2know.org is back up (for me at least, may not be for everyone yet). http://twitter.com/wiredtree
A big improvement just now, Butrflynet.
Much faster than it's been during most of the morning, too.
Fingers crossed things stay this way.
Thanks for the info.

@Butrflynet,
Wired Tree just tweeted that everything should be back up to normal status now.
Let us know if you're still having access problems.

And here I thought it was all because I had changed ISP from old Google to Google Chrome. Even fired off a bitterly-worded complaint to Google about how rotten their new system is! <whew>
Is it just me, or is everyone finding that A2K pages take a heck of a time loading just lately?
I generally use a tablet, and have noticed that the desired page tends to half load and then freeze for god knows how long. The little spinny wheel at top left is still going round, so something is happening in theory, but I find myself swearing under my breath more often than not over the past week.
Is there some development work or similar going on in the dead of American night (European morning) ?
Every other site I visit seems to load perfectly well. If it continues, then I can see a point where I shall be forced to go and do some work during the day instead.
Seems fairly good now, but yesterday was an ordeal.

@Frank Apisa,
Blue tone.....check.
Stalling.......check.
I reckon that Jespah is using a lot of power in the basement again. I passed last night and noticed what looked like lightning bolts emitting from a human like shape strapped to a table.
Maybe she's trying to create a Craving Da Beer Mk2.
My entry into the site seems to stall part way in...with a blue tone to the site during the stall. Then it seems to work its way out of the problem.
I've had the same problem yesterday and again this morning.
Something else has been happening lately that puzzles me. I've received e-mails saying so-and-so is 'following' me, but their avatar doesn't appear on my profile. A trivial matter perhaps, but I'm curious as to why!
