Is there a problem with some A2K functions today?

@georgeob1,
It may well be.
That's what I was trying figure out when I started this thread when I experienced some glitches, earlier in the day: my computer or A2K?
Still not sure which.

@msolga,
It was the unfortunate and untimely passing of our beloved hamster Binky.

It seems Binky was responsible for many functions, including bringing donuts on Fridays.

@msolga,
the problem with the emoticons has been going on for a while, both at home where we use FF and at work where I'm on IE.

@ehBeth,
Thank you, ehBeth.
Now I know it's not my computer on the blink.

@msolga,
It may be a few different things interacting, too. I haven't had any problems with A2K but since I did the Adobe update yesterday I've had problems on other sites.

Bringing donuts was always Robert's job. Please tell me that Binky was not Robert!

@wandeljw,
You'll need to check with Jespah, she said it was Binky's job...maybe Robert was demoted to coffee stirrers.

@Sturgis,
Oh it's Binky, not Blinky! Oops!
(I must have been thinking of Blinky Bill)

My sincere apologies, Binky, if you can hear me in heaven.
And RIP.

@msolga,

In case any of you are wondering ...

This is Blinky Bill.

And no, he is not an Oz hamster. Wink

@Sturgis,
Oh no, I just realized that maybe I killed Binky. I would never harm a helpless hamster. RIP Binky Crying or Very sad

@trying2learn,
Yesterday, these things happened -

first one was that a2k showed up only as an incompletely filled page - for about five minutes. That stopped. Could have been my computer.

Then thumbs acted up. I could still thumb though, by putting my cursor where I thought the thumb would be. That happened, over the day, a few times.

Then emoticons acted up. Not for long, though.

I could report all this to Contact Us, but figure that they are known issues. Will report if they keep happening.

@ossobuco,
I think the philosophy forum is screwed up: nobody agrees with me.

@ossobuco,
I had that happen to me this morning about 6am ET - A2K page formatting, or the lack thereof, was exactly as you stated. Then 5 min later it was like it never happened.

I was going to come to this thread to report it, but i couldn't find it, and didn't have a lot of time to devote to the search.

@Setanta,
And to me for an hour today.

I shut my computer off in case it was an overheating situation, though by this time I was thinking probably not - except that when I looked at the not-filled-out page, I could see that other people had recently posted. Hmmm, that was around 11:59 a.m. here in mountain time.

Has anyone reported this stuff? If not, I'll send a Contact us...
