I guess I'll add in that I've added some seeming chinese symbols in some of my paintings, not from planning to. Even I don't remember which ones. Just that they fit.

I can't remember why, but for some reason awhile ago I was checking online the legal age for tattoos, and in most places it's illegal to tattoo someone under 18. so you probably do have a few more years to research this.

Just to give you an idea of where I stand on nose rings (septum) and painful piercings... if I'm standing in a supermarket line and I see the cashier has one, I change to a line with a different cashier. I did this one time and, to my horror, I discovered that I switched to a cashier that had a stud in their tongue. I almost left my cart there without getting rung up.

I wince thinking of someone having this done. I would want to remind anyone of the sensitivity of the area that is being pierced. If I had a child and he/she wanted to have one, i would explain that it'd be over my COLD dead body.

depends a lot on the nose ring. the kind that goes thru the side of your nose is relatively ok, but the kind thatgoes through the septum in the middle and hangs down in the front of your nose, in that little groove that runs between the top of your lip and the bottom of your nose, THAT is gross. eeeuw as we keep hearing. just remember, you get one of those and it's continuously going to be bathed in snot.
